A little bit of pink!

Good morning lovelies

Just sharing another card, I have been a busy bee this last week playing with all my new goodies, however I am not overly pleased with this card, I don't know if its the image, the colours or what, but I'm just not loving it, but I thought I'd document it anyway and I can learn from it!

Image:  Spring time by Saturated Canary
Papers: Basic Grey
Flowers, Ribbon & Doily: Stash
Tag: Tim Holtz
Coloured: Pro Markers

I purchased this stamp today from the saturated canary site along with 3 others, I really like them there so cute, and there a great price too.

So there we have it, this will definitely be my final card until after my henny, i'll be sure to put some pics up of the antics, im sure it's gonna be crazy and I'm now REALLY excited!

Sunday Sketch & Stamp #120

Evening peeps,

I hope you all had a great weekend, I certainly did!  I did a spot of crafty shopping this afternoon and got myself a Big Shot, I used to have a Big Kick but It got lost in a house move.  I am going to make my own wedding favours and so the Big Shot will be a massive help in creating all the tags.  I also need to make some table names and so it will come in handy for that too, not forgetting the card making.

Obviously I had to try out my new toy so I put together this wee card.....

Stamp: Crafters Companion Swalk - After the Rain
Die: Xcut Nesting Die in Square
Ribbon & Lace: Old Stash
Sentiment: Stamp from local craft shop
Coloured: Pro Markers & Distressed Ink
Flowers: Xcut flowers punches large & small

After I finished the card I realised that the sentiment didn't really go with the image, but there you go.  I followed the sketch over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp for this card and therefore I would like to enter this card into this weeks challenge, Obvs!

Right its definitely bedtime, the coming week is going to be mental, I'm on the 5 day countdown to my henny, and all I know is that I am going to London....eeek!

Much Love

New beginings

Helllooooo......

And welcome to Little Vintage Cards, this is my little space of craftiness on the www.  I have to say it's not my first blog, I used to run a wee blog called Fairycake Cards around 2 years ago, but life got busy and I closed it down, but I'm back, I love playing with cards and crafty bits, I just needed some time out, but hopefully I will be back to stay this time :)

A lot has changed in the last two years, not long after I shut down the blog I got engaged, planning is well under way, and I'll be tying the knot in 6 weeks ...Eeeek!  When I shut down the blog I sold a lot of my stash so over the last two weeks I have been shopping to replenish my stash, my poor bank account has had a right bashing, but my crafty stash is looking great!

Anyway onto the good stuff.......my first card...

Stamp:  Time for tea, by Sarah Kay
Colours: Pro Markers
Ribbon: Old stash
Flowers & Gems: Wild Orchid Crafts

I really adore this stamp, I picked it up in my local craft store, I have always had a love for Sarah Kay stamps and I will definitely be investing in a few more.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

I've had a great time creating my first card, I think tomorrow I am going to go and pick up some more Sarah Kay stamps and maybe a Big Shot (but dont tell the hubs2b..shhhhh)

Until next time ....

Starting over

I'm back!  2 years ago I ran a wee blog called Fairycake Cards, but I totally lost my mojo and life just got really busy and I wasn't able to find the time to commit to the blog so I decided to pack up my stash and close the blog down.  *sad face*

Since then I have dabbled in some crafty goings on, recently I made my own wedding stationery, and I have always hopped by the blogs to keep an eye on things, :)  but I really missed it and so Im back!  I sold a lot of my stash 2 years ago, so I have been slowly building it back up!

I look forward to getting to know you all again and participating in the challenges.  I'm getting married in 6 weeks so my card making may be limited for a little while over October as I'll be on honeymoon, but I am going to the states so I am hoping to pick up some amazing crafting goodies there!

Much Love
