Gift from Heaven Tilda

Aloha beauties!

I'm back with another card, this one has taken me a few days, my cousin kindly gave me a borrow of her mini sewing machine, I was going to buy one but she offered me hers to see how I liked it and I am loving it!  I tried a little sewing around the edges of the square background card to practice and I really like the effect it gave.  You can't really see it in these pics though.

I am going to be entering this card into the Simply Magnolia Challenge, this week it's a sketch, and a blooming good one, so here's my card . . .

My lighting is pretty pants, I have a daylight that I use for taking pics but its always a little reflective!  I am using my latest purchase - Gift from Heaven Tilda, I'm in lurve! She is such a sweetie!  I have coloured her using TH distress inks.  I also put some white Frantage embossing powder around her, I added a little too much this time so I'll be more cautious next time.

My card blanks are from Craftwork Cards, I have seen loads of these shaped cards, but I know that many of them are created by the big go create dies, sadly I don't have a die cutting machine big enough for those dies so I had to improvise in order to get my papers the same shape and size.  So, I drew around the card blank on the back of my design papers and carefully cut it out and then stuck it to the card blank, it turned out great, well I think so!

Ingredients:
Embossing // Frantage in white
Card Blank // Fanciful Card Blanks
Flowers // WOC & Stash
Ribbon, Pearls, Butterfly Punch & Doily // Old Stash

I ordered some more stash goodies from the Ribbon girl on Sunday night so I am hoping that they arrive tomorrow along with a few Tilda's that I won on eBay.  I love getting post but I really must stop spending or I will have no money left to put supper on the table!

Sweet Stampin DT card - Kraft

Good Morning lovelies!

Today is my first EVER DT card, I am so excited to have joined the team over at Sweet Stampin, my first official week should have been 2 weeks ago but as my gallbladder decided to to spoil the fun I was unable to take part in the balls challenge.

ANYWAY enough about me! Moving on, this week over at the Sweet Stampin challenge blog the theme is KRAFT! We want to see creations made using some sort of Kraft card on your projects.  Interpret that how you wish but you MUST use KRAFT!

Our sponsor this week is Cuddly Buddly and our Monthly sponsor is the Ribbon Girl, go check it out and get creating :)

I didn't have any Kraft card in my stash, so it was the perfect excuse to buy some new card blanks from Craftwork Cards that I had been eyeing up, and this is what I have come up with . . .

Ingredients:

Kraft Card Blanks // Craftwork Cards
Sentiment // from Stash, bought from HobbyCraft
Flowers // Wild Orchid Crafts
Die // Sizzix 3 set, Flowers, Branches & Leaves
Twine // Stash
Silver Pearls // Stash

I love this little image.  I picked her up from my local craft store about 6 weeks ago, I don't own any other crafter companion stamps but I think I may invest in a few more because they are adorable.  I coloured her using Pro Markers & TH Distressed Inks.

Don't forget to check out all my other DT buddies blogs and please follow me on Bloglovin, my links below.

Have a fab weekend

LOTV Looking Glass

Evening peeps!

Friday is upon us, I'm excited as my first DT card goes live tomorrow morning, don't forget to check it out over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog tomorrow morning *thumbs up*

Today my Nephew came to visit, he is just the cutest little dude around, it was lovely to see him, we always have such fun! I think I picked him up a little bit too much today, ooops! feeling a bit sore, but he was worth it, isn't he a cutie....

Today I inked up my newest LOTV, Looking Glass stamp.  I think she is gorgeous, but I am not overly happy with this card, it's not my best work, but I'll learn from it.  I did get to practice more distress colouring with my latest obsession TH Distress Inks so I thought i'd share it anyway.

I picked up some of the Stampendous Frantage embossing powder the other day and I tried it on the edges of this card, I really like it! i'm gonna get some of the bigger flakes for my Christmas cards!

Ingredients:

Flowers // Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls, Ribbon & Doily // Stash

I would like to enter this card into the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, the theme there this week is "Embossing"

Right i'm off to watch some more Bones, I've taken up watching the series since i've been on house arrest and I am loving it!

Love Potion Tilda

Hello lovelies

Another day resting up here at home, with nothing else to do I inked up one of my new Tilda's and gave her a whiz, I LOVE her!  It took me all day to make this card, I was back and forth at it for ages.  I am trying to master the shabby chic look, using layers and distressing, i'm not quite there yet but this is what I came up with...

I just think she is the cutest thing ever!  Look at her chubby cheeks!  I coloured here using TH Distress Inks, I love how the colours have turned out.  I watched a Youtube tutorial by Camila on colouring which was so helpful, you can find the tutorial ------> HERE if you're interested

Ingredients:

Colouring // TH Distress Inks
Flowers // Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon, Pearls & Sentiment Stamp // Old Stash
Shabby Chic Corners // Dunelm Mill Craft Section

I am going to enter this card into a few challenges, I haven't done that in so long so here goes!  The challenges are as follows:

Magnolia-licious Challenge - Anything Goes

Creative Inspirations - Something Old & Something New
My something new is my Tilda stamp which I got on Monday and my something old is my flowers & ribbon which I have had since last year before I lost my mojo!

Party Time Tuesday - Friendship Cards
My sentiment is "One of a Kind" and I think this is the perfect sentiment to sum up any special friend.

Right it appears to be after midnight, so it's off to bed for me. Catch y'all laters!  Oh don't forget you can follow me on Bloglovin, or find me on twitter, links below!

Goodies & a New Name

Evening lovelies,

I've been a bit AWOL the last few weeks :( sad times!  Unfortunately I took unwell and ended up in hospital, a nasty attack from my gallbladder, i've since had surgery to remove my gallbladder and I am now on the mend.  I have been signed off from work for the next 2 weeks, so there is very little I can do except colour images and stick things together! The hubs has been a gem and moved my crafty stash right next to the bed so I can reach it all whilst I recover.

With time on my hands, I have made a few changes on the blog, the biggest being the name, I have changed the name of the blog for a few reasons, but the main reason being, I didn't think little vintage cards was all that fitting, especially as I like to make cards of all kinds.  So Pearly Pop Cards is my new name, I dunno why but it just came to me and I liked it!  Please click my bloglovin link over there -----> and follow me (only if you wish of course)

I've been making good work of expanding my stash from my sick bed, and today I got a delivery of lots of goodies!

I am loving distress ink at the moment, I already had some ink pads but I wanted to try the other types of inks and see how they would work for colouring, they all seem to be blooming great!  I think the re inkers and stains work just as well if not better, and as the re inkers are cheaper, I think I will be purchasing these from now on.  I also got some Stampendous frantage embossing powder, I haven't tried it yet but I will give that a bash tomorrow :).

My first EVER magnolia's!  I know that is a complete sin, but to be honest I wasn't ever that drawn to them, but there recent collections have caught my eye and I am keen to try a few and hopefully get a few more!  A couple of dies I have been lusting after also fell into my basket, along with some papers, pearls and glittery gems.

I am going to be kept amused with this lot for a few days and I also have some Lili of the Valley stamps on there way, best not tell the hubs!

Look out for my first DT card for Sweet Stampin coming up on Saturday and hopefully a few more by the end of the week!

Much love
